SOUTHERN TIOGA SENIORS EDGE TIOGA LAWRENCEVILLE (2024-06-22) Northern Tier West Sports Report MANSFIELD — The Southern Tioga senior baseball team edged Tioga Lawrenceville 7-6 in the consolation final and advances to the PA District 15 tourney championship game.
The three-team field has seen Athens beat both TL and ST and Southern Tioga top Tioga Lawrenceville 15-5 in pool play, while Southern topped Tioga 23-9 in the first bracket game. Athens topped Southern Tioga 22-3 to send them to the consolation final.
While Tioga Lawrenceville's season comes to an end, Southern Tioga will travel to Athens on Monday for the final. If they can beat Athens, another game will be played on Wednesday. If Athens wins, they win the title.
