COLLEGE BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON'S TR JONES TO PLAY AT CORNING (2024-07-30)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION, PA — Williamson grad TaylorRae Jones recently announced her intent to attend Corning Community College and become a member of the Red Barons’ women’s basketball team.
The two-time All-Tioga County Player of the Year heads to Corning after leading her Lady Warriors to a memorable season, winning 19 games .. tied for most ever and as many as the last five seasons combined .. while scoring 20-plus points eight times and hit double-digits in 21 of the Lady Warriors’ 24 games and averaging 15.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4 steals and 2.1 assists per outing and going over 1,000 points in her career.
Jones, a do-it-all guard, will look to spark a Red Barons’ offense that averaged 38 points per game during their 6-14, 2023-24 season.
