NTL VOLLEYBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY FALLS TO TOWANDA (2024-08-27)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTOWANDA — Cowanesque Valley took the second set against Towanda in their NTL-opener but were edged in the final two to fall 3-1 in a crossover match-up here Tuesday.
Towanda won the opening set 25-17 before the Lady Indians rallied to take the second 25-19. The Lady Knights won the final two sets .. 25-23 and 26-24 .. to earn the win.
Lily Vargeson had 17 assists, two kills and an ace for CV while Autumn Mead had six kills and four aces, Jessie Quick had six kills, a block and an ace and Maddison Hartman had two aces and four kills.
The Lady Indians (0-2) are scheduled to return to action next Thursday at Canton.
