NTL BOYS SOCCER: WELLSBORO ROUTS GALETON 12-0 FOR FIRST LEAGUE WIN (2024-08-28)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Hornets scored seven first-half goals en route to a 12-0 win over Galeton in Northern Tier League boys soccer action here Wednesday.
Micaiah Fitch and Alex Citrino both recorded hat tricks while Lucas Cuneo, David Seeling and Mason Nowak had two goals each.
“We were happy to have everyone healthy and back on the field tonight,” Wellsboro coach Todd Fitch said. “It was a great team effort.”
Wellsboro out-shot Galeton, 19-6,and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks while Hornet keeper Tom Camden had six saves in the victory.
Citrino added a pair of assists while Fitch and Cuneo had one each.
Wellsboro is scheduled to return to action Saturday when they host South Williamsport.
