NTL VOLLEYBALL: LADY HORNETS CRUISE PAST SAYRE FOR SECOND WIN (2024-08-29)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Lady Hornets stayed unbeaten on the young season, downing the visiting Sayre Lady Redskins 3-0 in NTL volleyball action here Thursday.
Wellsboro won the first three sets to beat Sayre .. 25-9, 25-17 and 25-18.
Blake Eckart had six kills in the match while Paige Logsdon and Lexi Urena each had five. Logsdon added seven aces and 13 service points while Urena had eight digs.
Ellie Largey had seven assists for the Hornets and Taylor Main had five assists, five aces, seven digs and 15 points. Maddy Crutenden had 11 digs.
Wellsboro (2-0) is scheduled to return to play on Tuesday with a visit to South Williamsport.
