Slusser won the high jump at the NTL Coaches Invite with a jump of 5-02, then cleared 5-04 to take second at the District IV meet, and jumped 5-06 at the state meet for her silver medal.

The Williamson senior is also the first-team All-West long jumper, with a season-best leap of 16-11. She won the event at the NTL Coaches Invite and placed fifth at the District IV meet. 

The All-Tioga County Girls’ Track Athlete of the Year is Williamson hurdler Chelsea Hungerford. The junior won the NTL Coaches Invite title in the 100 hurdles and finished second in the 300 hurdles. At the District IV meet, Hungerford finished 13th in the 100 hurdles (17.65) and 15th in the 300 hurdles (51.43). 

Slusser and Hungerford join teammates Scout Abel and Kyra Daley to make up our All-West 4x100 meter relay team.

Our All-Tioga County Girls’ Field Rookie of the Year is Williamson’s Adelaide Schmitt. The first year thrower placed second in the javelin and fifth in the discus at the NTL Coaches Invite, then finished ninth in the javelin and 15th in the discus at the District IV championships.

North Penn-Mansfield’s Addison Farrer is our All-West Track Rookie of the Year. The first year distance specialist finished fourth in the 1600 meter run and fifth in the 3200 at the NTL Coaches Invite. At the District IV meet, Farrer finished 22nd in the 3200.
