NTL GOLF: TIGERS EARN 2ND PLACE AT COREY CREEK (2024-09-03)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — The North Penn-Mansfield golf team had their best finish of the season Tuesday, placing 2nd at the NTL match at the Tigers’ home course of Corey Creek.
Athens won with a low aggregate score of 317, followed by North Penn-Mansfield (333), Towanda (343), Wyalusing (363), CV (405), Wellsboro (413) and Sayre (567).
Tate Strange had the low round for Mansfield, shooting 40’s on the front and back nines for an 80 on the day with 11 pars. Andy Hermansen was close behind, using three birdies and eight pars to finish with an 81.
Alex Davis carded an 85, while Talon D’Angelo completed the Tigers’ scoring with an 87.
Collin Oakes (93) and Alex Kalamaris (101) shot non-scored rounds for the Tigers.
NP-Mansfield and the rest of the NTL squads will return to play next Tuesday when Cowanesque Valley hosts at River Valley in Westfield.
