NTL GIRLS SOCCER: NP-MANSFIELD LADY TIGERS FALL AT ATHENS (2024-09-07)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportATHENS — The host Wildcats took a 2-0 lead into halftime against North Penn-Mansfield and beat the Lady Tigers 6-2 in NTL girls soccer action here Saturday.
Down 6-0, NP-Mansfield got two late goals .. one each by Brooke Wilcox and Adalyn Yungwirth. Brooklyn Ragan assisted on Wilcox’s goal.
Athens held a 16-4 advantage in shots on goal and 8-1 on corner kicks.
Tiger keeper Avalon Rew had nine saves while Abaigeal Garverick had one.
North Penn-Mansfield (0-4) is at Towanda on Wednesday.
