Northern Tier West Sports ReportCORNING, NY — North Penn-Liberty played in the Corning Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, placing 3rd in their pool and reaching the Silver Bracket championship.
The Lady Mounties went 1-1 against Corning (17-25, 25-13), Tioga (25-23, 19-25) and Letchworth (24-26, 25-19) and beat Waverly in both sets (25-21, 25-16).
NPL beat SVE in the Silver Bracket semis and fell to Horseheads in the final, 25-14, 21-25 and 16-14.
The Mounties return to league-play on Tuesday when they host Wellsboro.
