NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO STAYS UNBEATEN WITH WIN OVER ATHENS (2024-09-12)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportATHENS — The Hornets dropped the first set of their match with Athens here Thursday but rallied to win out and top the Wildcats 3-1.
Athens took the first set 25-18 and Wellsboro won the next three .. 25-12, 27-25 and 25-15.
Paige Logsdon had 11 kills for Wellsboro and added five aces and four blocks while Lexi Urena had 10 kills, 11 digs and two aces with 12 service points.
Blake Eckart had six kills, Ellie Largey had 15 assists and 15 points with a pair of aces and Taylor Main had 12 points, 10 assists and 14 digs. Maddy Cruttenden had 27 digs and Peyton Keane had three blocks.
Wellsboro, now 6-0 on the season, is scheduled to return to action Saturday at Williamsport.
