NTL VOLLEYBALL: TROJANS HAND HORNETS FIRST LEAGUE LOSS (2024-09-17) Northern Tier West Sports Report WELLSBORO — The Hornets lost their first league match of the season Tuesday as they were swept 3-0 by NTL Large School-foe Troy.
The Lady Trojans won the first three sets .. 25-20, 25-14 and 25-22 .. to earn the sweep.
Paige Logsdon had four kills for the Hornets while Lexi Urena and Blake Eckart each had two. Taylor Main had six assists, 11 digs and four service points, Maddy Cruttenden had 18 digs and six points, Ellie Largey had 15 digs, eight points and four assists and Eckart added 11 digs.
Wellsboro, now 7-2 on the season, are scheduled to host Coudersport on Saturday for a 12:30 p.m. match.
