Canton senior Ben Fitch had a monster game to help the Warriors to a shootout win over North Penn-Wellsboro, while Wellsboro senior Paige Logsdon played a pivotal role in the Hornets’ snapping North Penn-Liberty’s 99-game NTL win streak. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional “Athletes of the Week,” for the week ending Sept. 14.

CANTON’S FITCH NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Fitch accounted for five TDs and nearly 400 yards in Canton’s 51-40 win over NP-Mansfield.

Fitch was 16-for-26 for 294 yards with three touchdowns and an interception from the pocket, while running the ball 19 times for 96 yards and two TDs.

Fitch also led the Warriors in tackles with nine.

WELLSBORO’S LOGSDON NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Logsdon was crucial in Wellsboro’s win over North Penn-Liberty, which snapped its 99-game regular-season NTL win streak.

Logsdon registered nine kills, 11 blocks and 18 service points, including three aces in the win over NP-L.

In Wellsboro’s 3-1 win over Athens, the senior had 11 kills, two blocks, nine points and five aces for the unbeaten Hornets.
