NTL BOYS SOCCER: HORNETS RALLY FOR WIN OVER NEB (2024-09-18)

ROME, PA — Wellsboro fell behind Northeast Bradford in the first half but rallied to score four unanswered goals and top the host Panthers 5-2 in boys soccer action Wednesday.

Alex Citrino scored an unassisted goal in the first half and Micaiah Fitch scored off a Jack Bryant assist with 14 minutes left in the first to tie the game at 2-all. 

Lucas Cuneo took a pass from David Seeling and scored at the 25:32 mark of the second half, followed by another unassisted goal from Citrino with 12:35 remaining in the game to give the Hornets a 4-2 lead. Cuneo and Seeling connected again a minute later and Cuneo’s goal provided the 5-2 final.

Wellsboro held a 13-8 advantage in shots on goal and had nine corner kicks to the Panthers’ two.

Keeper Camden Tom had five saves in net for the Hornets and Kayden Rogers had one stop. 

Wellsboro (8-1) has played four of their last five games on the road and will begin a four game home stretch on Saturday at noon when they host non-league Hughesville.
