Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY, PA — This week's Laurel Health 'Athletes of the Week' are Williamson soccer player Maddie Bailey and Wellsboro football's Ryder Bowen.
Bailey helped the Lady Warriors to a 3-0 week and four straight "W"s .. assisting on a goal in a 2-0 win over North Penn-Mansfield, scoring two goals in a 3-1 win over Towanda and netting a hat trick (3 goals) and an assist in Williamson's 5-0 win over non-league Campbell-Savona.
Bowen led Wellsboro to their first win of the season by becoming just the 3rd Hornet to ever rush for 300 yards .. carrying the ball 33 times for 301 yards and four TD's in a 40-8 win over CV.
