HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER: MOUNTIES EDGE JERSEY SHORE FOR NON-LEAGUE WIN (2024-09-23)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportJERSEY SHORE — Two second half goals from Tate Strange helped North Penn-Liberty to a 3-2 win over Jersey Shore in non-league boys soccer action Monday.
The Mounties went into the break tied at one after Brady Stetter scored a first half goal off an assist from Adynn Wheeland. Strange scored twice in the second half, once off an assist from Stetter, and the Mounties held the Bulldogs to a goal to secure the win.
Liberty held a 13-12 edge in shots and a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks, while Mountie keeper Deakon Valentine made eight saves in net.
NP-Liberty (6-4-1) is next slated to visit Wellsboro on Wednesday.
