NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO EARNS LARGE SCHOOL WIN OVER TOWANDA (2024-09-24)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Hornets picked up a large school win Tuesday, sweeping Towanda 3-0 in NTL volleyball play.
Wellsboro won 25-15, 25-22 and 28-26.
Paige Logsdon had 6 kills to lead Wellsboro while Blake Eckart had 5 and Lexi Urena and Brooke Wheeler had 4 each. Urena added 14 service points with 9 aces, 11 digs and 3 blocks, Eckart had six points with an ace, Maddy Cruttenden had 13 digs and 10 points with 3 aces, Ellie Largey had 14 assists and Taylor Main had 7 assists and 11 digs.
The Hornets (9-2) are scheduled to host North Penn-Liberty on Thursday.
