HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO TOPPED BY COUDY IN NON-LEAGUE MATCH-UP (2024-09-28)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportCOUDERSPORT, PA — Wellsboro fell 3-2 in a non-league volleyball match at Coudersport on Saturday.
Coudersport won the first set 25-15 but Wellsboro took the next two sets, 25-21 and 25-19, to take a 2-1 lead heading into the 4th set.
Coudersport won the 4th set 25-21 to force a 5th, which the Lady Falcons won, 15-12.
Taylor Main led Wellsboro with 13 points (7 aces), 14 digs and 12 assists. Ellie Largey also scored 13 points (3 aces) and made 10 assists, while Madison Cruttenden recorded 23 digs, Lexi Urena had 22 digs, 7 kills and a block and Paige Logsdon scored 7 points, had 4 kills and a block. Blake Eckart also added 5 kills.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 9-3 overall on the season. The team is back in action Monday against North Penn-Liberty.
