NTWSR PRESENTS THE LAUREL HEALTH 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2024-10-06)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY, PA — This week's Laurel Health 'Athletes of the Week' are Cowanesque Valley football’s Graham Hess and Wellsboro volleyball’s Maddy Cruttenden.
Hess led the Indians to a 29-24, final minutes win over CMVT with 145 total yards of offense and three touchdowns, an interception, five solo tackles and eight assisted stops.
Cruttenden, the Lady Hornets’ libero, led Wellsboro to a pair of 5-set wins and the Kane Volleyball Tournament title. In a 3-2 win over North Penn-Liberty, Cruttenden had 30 digs, five assists and 12 service points and in a 3-2 win over Athens she collected 24 digs and 24 service points with two aces.
