Lily Wagner knocked a loose ball in for Wellsboro’s first goal five and a half minutes into the game and Cassidy Mitchell scored off a Luna Moyer assist at the 29:24 mark to give the Hornets a 2-0 lead at the break. 

Maddy Losinger scored early in the second half and North Penn-Mansfield avoided the shut-out when Iris Irwin scored for the Tigers to make it 3-1 Wellsboro. Moyer scored Wellsboro’s final goal at the 62 minute mark to provide the 4-1 final.

The Hornets outshot NP-Mansfield 14 to 4 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. 

Wellsboro keeper Jadyn Dunlap made three saves while Avalon Rew had 10 saves in net for Mansfield. 

The Hornets improve to 4-7-2 on the season with the win, while North Penn-Mansfield falls to 0-15-1 with the loss. Wellsboro returns to action on Friday at Towanda while the Tigers have one game remaining on the season, Monday at CMVT.
