NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO SWEEPS COWANESQUE VALLEY (2024-10-10)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The host Hornets cruised to a three set sweep of the Cowanesque Valley Lady Indians in an NTL crossover volleyball match here Thursday.
Wellsboro won the sets 25-19, 25-17 and 25-13.
Lexi Urena finished with 11 kills and six digs for the Hornets and was recognized for surpassing 500 career digs earlier this season. Paige Logsdon had nine kills and Blake Eckart added six while Ellie Largey had 13 assists, Taylor Main had 11 assists and 13 service points and Maddy Cruttenden had 23 points with four aces and 12 digs.
For CV, Lily Vargeson had nine assists and Lilah LaBarron had five kills.
Now 13-3 on the season, Wellsboro is scheduled to visit Williamson on Tuesday, while CV also returns to action Tuesday, hosting Northeast Bradford.
