NTL FOOTBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY WINS 2ND STRAIGHT, TOPS NWA 43-22 (2024-10-11)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWESTFIELD, PA — Cowanesque Valley celebrated homecoming with their second win in a row here Friday night, beating the visiting Northwest Area Rangers 43-22.
Senior QB Graham Hess led the way for the Indians, completing 10-of-21 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns .. both to sophomore Dave Hess .. and rushing 10 times for 113 yards.
Dave Hess had 95 yards receiving on his two TD catches and ran for 58 yards on five carries. Jeavon Eick had a 31-yard TD run and caught two passes for 28 yards and Lowell Baker had two catches for 42 yards and had a 1-yard TD on the ground.
Defensively, Baker had three solo tackles and four assisted while Graham Hess had two solo stops and was in on four more. Eick had an interception for the Indians.
Now 3-5 on the season, CV is set to visit Blossburg next Saturday night to take on North Penn-Mansfield (2-6).
