NTL GIRLS TENNIS: NP-LIBERTY, WELLSBORO PLAYERS COMPETE AT DISTRICTS (2024-10-14)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Tioga County had a pair of players qualify and play at the District IV Girls Tennis Championships on Monday as both North Penn-Liberty’s Annie Johns and Wellsboro’s Olivia Gage competed.
Johns, the Lady Mounties’ No. 1 Singles player, won her first round match 6-2, 6-0 over Lewisburg’s Christina Zheng and fell in her second round match to Central Columbia’s Rihanna Baker, 6-2, 6-1.
Wellsboro’s top singles player during the season, Gage, fell in her first match to Hughesville’s Annaka Bruder, 6-2, 6-1.
