NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO SUFFERS SECOND LOSS TO TROJANS (2024-10-17)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTROY — Wellsboro suffered just their second league loss of the season here Thursday .. both to large school leader Troy .. falling to the host Trojans, 3-1.
Troy won the first set 25-15 before Wellsboro rallied for a win in the second, 25-15, but the Trojans would take the next two .. 25-18 and 25-13 .. to secure the win.
Blake Eckart had seven kills for the Lady Hornets while Paige Logsdon, Lexi Urena and Ady Frantz each had four. Logsdon added three blocks.
Ellie Largey had 22 digs and 11 assists, Taylor Main had 20 digs, four assists and six service points and Maddy Cruttenden had eight points and 18 digs.
Wellsboro, now 14-4 on the season overall, have a pair of matches remaining, starting Monday at home against South Williamsport.
