NTWSR PRESENTS THE LAUREL HEALTH 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2024-10-20)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — This week's Laurel Health 'Athletes of the Week' are Cowanesque Valley QB Graham Hess and the Williamson girls’ soccer team's defensive unit .. Miriah Buck, Starr Ordway, Jade Colwell, Alivia Morgan and keeper Ashley Woodring.
Hess led the Indians to a 23-15 win over North Penn-Mansfield, completing 11-of-17 passing attempts for 151 yards and two touchdowns, adding 62 yards on the ground on 10 carries and a 23 yard reception. On defense, Hess was in on 13 tackles.
Williamson went 2-1 on the week, earning 2-0 and 3-0 wins over Wellsboro and Wyalusing and falling 1-0 to 13-4-1 Hughesville. Buck, Ordway, Colwell and Morgan helped Woodring get two clean sheets while the Williamson goalie had 30 saves total on the week.
