HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY EDGES GALETON (2024-10-21)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportGALETON — The Cowanesque Valley volleyball team beat Galeton for the second time in three days here Monday, topping the host Tigers 3-2.
Galeton took the first set 25-23 before CV took the next two, 25-17 and 27-25. The Tigers forced a fifth set with a 25-13 win in the fourth and the Lady Indians sealed the victory with a 15-7, fifth-set win.
Lily Vargeson finished with 23 assists and 3 aces, Madison Hartman had 4 aces and 9 kills and Lilah LaBarron had 6 kills.
CV improves to 7-11 with the win and has two regular season games remaining, starting Tuesday night at Williamson.
