Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION, PA — The Williamson volleyball team snapped their only losing streak of the season here Tuesday, stopping a two-game skid with a sweep of Cowanesque Valley.
Coming off losses to Wellsboro and Northeast Bradford, the Lady Warriors won 25-17, 25-15 and 25-17 over CV.
Raegan VanGorden collected 20 assists, 14 digs, nine points with four aces and two kills, while Leah Earle had 10 points with five aces, eight kills and eight digs and Joelie Stephens had 14 points with six aces, five digs, two assists and a kill.
Sophie Sargent added seven points with three aces, seven digs, two blocks and two kills, Bailey Snyder had six points with four aces and three digs, Madisen Jones had two kills and two digs, Aubrey Wells had three kills, Abby Gehman had four kills and Olivia Nolan had a kill and a block.
Williamson, now 11-4 on the season, has one regular season game remaining, at Athens on Thursday.
Cowanesque Valley drops to 7-12 on the year with the loss. They’ll finish their regular season on Thursday at home against Troy.
