NTL VOLLEYBALL: LADY HORNETS END REGULAR SEASON WITH SWEEP OF TOWANDA (2024-10-22)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTOWANDA — Wellsboro swept Towanda 3-0 on Tuesday to finish their regular season 16-4 overall and 2nd place in the NTL Large School Division (12-2).
The Lady Hornets took the first set 25-20, won the second 25-13 and sealed the win with a 25-16 third set victory.
Paige Logsdon led Wellsboro with nine kills and 11 points (three aces), Taylor Main scored 14 points and had six assists, Lexi Urena had eight kills and five digs and Blake Eckart had six kills and eight points.
Madison Cruttenden had 14 digs and Ellie Largey had six assists and four digs. Urena, Brooke Wheeler and Adelyn Frantz all had a block.
Next up for Wellsboro is the District IV Class 2A playoffs, which start this weekend.
