COLLEGE FOOTBALL: CV'S SIPPS PLAYING BIG ROLES FOR LYCO (2024-11-10)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Former Cowanesque Valley three-sport standout and current Lycoming junior Mikey Sipps has become a big contributor for the 4-5 Warriors’ football team this season.
Sipps, the NTWSR 2021 All-Tioga County Football Player of the Year, is a starting linebacker for Lyco, collecting 33 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery. He had a season-high seven stops, a fumble recovery and a TFL in the Warriors’ 14-12 loss to Catholic on October 19th.
Sipps has also served as the Warriors’ punter, with 41 kicks on the season and a 35.5 yard average, six kicks placed inside the 20, three kicks of 50+ yards and a long punt of 64 yards.
Lycoming has one regular season game remaining .. November 16th at home against Susquehanna.
