COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO'S CALLAHAN LEADING D1 COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON (2024-11-10)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportCHARLESTON, SC — Wellsboro’s Caitlyn Callahan, a graduate student and starting middle blocker at College of Charleston, has helped the D1 Cougars’ volleyball team to a 21-8 season record, including an 13-3 mark in the Coastal Athletic Conference.
Callahan has started every match for the Cougars and played in 105 sets, collecting 252 kills (2nd on team), 330 points (2nd on team) and 131 blocks (1st on team and in CAA) and has been named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.
On her third stop in collegiate volleyball (Millersville, UNCW), Callahan reached her 700th career kill on September 6th against Yale, her 800th on September 27th against Campbell and her 900th on November 1st against Hampton.
The Cougars have upcoming matches against Eastern on November 15th and 16th and the CAA Championship Tournament on November 21st through the 23rd.
