COLLEGE WRESTLING: FORMER WILLIAMSON WARRIOR KADE SOTTOLANO REACHES PODIUM FOR EDINBORO AT MICHIGAN STATE (2024-11-10)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportEDINBORO, PA — Williamson wrestling alum Kade Sottolano, a redshirt sophomore for the Fighting Scots D1 wrestling team, reached the podium recently with a 3rd-place finish at the Michigan State Open.
Sottolano, wrestling at 285, scored a tech fall win over Kent State's Ryan Dimmick in the opening round and then majored Dominic Burgett of Purdue 9-0. Sottolano dropped a 4-2 decision to Cash Henderson in the semis and advanced to the third-place match with a 4-1 decision over Aidan Fockler of Central Michigan. In the third-place match, Sottolano tallied a 7-0 decision over Ohio's Wyatt Schmitt.
Edinboro is set to host a pair of upcoming dual meets .. on Friday, November 15th against George Mason and on the 17th against Ohio State.
