WELLSBORO — The Lady Hornets missed out on the NTL Large School championship by losing twice to league champ Troy in the regular season, but earned an even “bigger” banner by beating the Lady Trojans in the District IV final to claim the Class 2A title.

Head Coach Darci Pollock and the Lady Hornets finished 12-2 in the league and 6-2 in the NTL-I to finish second behind Troy, falling 3-0 and 3-1 to the Trojans in their two regular season match-ups.
