HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: TIGERS WIN SHIKELLAMY TOURNEY TITLE (2024-12-07)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportSHIKELLAMY, PA — North Penn-Mansfield got out to a fast start and cruised to a 56-35 win to claim the Shikellamy Tournament championship over the host Braves.
The Tigers used a pair of threes from Cooper Shaw and one each from Andy Hermansen and Alex Davis to take a 21-10 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 30-16 going into the break.
Balanced scoring by six Tigers in the third quarter led to a 15-8 advantage for NPM and a 45-24 lead.
Shaw led Mansfield with 14 points while hermansen and Davis each had 11. JasonHarer had 9 points, Brady Stetter had 4 points, Kevin Clemente-Vasquez had 3 and Talon D’Angelo and Kaiden Choplosky each had 2 points.
The Tigers (2-0) are scheduled to host North Penn-Liberty on Tuesday.
