Shaw, the Panthers’ first year starting QB, threw for 1,639 yards (105-233) and 15 touchdowns while also running for 693 yards (185 carries) and another 9 scores. The senior also racked up 62 tackles from his linebacker position and added two interceptions and a sack for 3-7 North Penn-Mansfield. The All-Tioga County Player of the Year was also called into duty occasionally to kick extra points, making two on the season, and also served as the Panthers’ punter.

The recipient of more than half of Shaw’s completions is the All-Tioga County Offensive Player of the Year .. junior Luke Kreger .. who caught an astounding 60 passes for 1,188 yards and 10 TDs. The junior also had 60 yards rushing and was the Panthers’ kick and punt returner.

The All-Tioga County Defensive Player of the Year is Wellsboro senior Ryder Bowen. The linebacker collected 73 tackles and 2 sacks on the year .. numbers that would be much higher if Bowen hadn’t been the main focus of every offensive coordinator’s game plan when playing the Hornets. 

The All-Tioga County Athlete of the Year .. CV’s Graham Hess .. accounted for nearly 1,800 yards of offense (1,243 passing, 531 rushing, 23 receiving), 16 touchdowns and 4 two-point conversions for the Indians’ offense, had 93 tackles and a pick on ‘D’ and was CV’s punter.

The Offensive Newcomer of the Year is Wellsboro freshman QB Griffin Morral, who threw for 1,112 yards and 15 TDs and ran for 120 yards and 2 more scores in his inaugural season for the Hornets. 

The Defensive Newcomer is CV freshman lineman Stevie Olson, who collected 37 tackles and had 6 sacks on the season.
