NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON SUFFERS LOPSIDED LOSS AT ATHENS (2024-12-13)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportATHENS — Williamson struggled in their NTL crossover match-up with large school Athens here Friday, losing 41-15 to the Lady Wildcats.
Athens jumped out to a 17-3 lead after one quarter and a 14-4 second frame gave the Wildcats a 31-7 lead at halftime. An 8-2 third in favor of Athens made it 39-9 before the Lady Warriors took the final quarter, 6-2, to provide the final.
Williamson was led by Kenna Thomas with 5 points while Olivia Nolan and Olivia Meisner each had 4 points and Bailey Snyder had 2.
The Warriors (1-2) are scheduled to return to action on Monday at home against Northeast Bradford.
