NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: WELLSBORO ROUTS SAYRE BEHIND 25 BRANDENBURG POINTS (2024-12-18)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportSAYRE — Chloe Brandenburg hit six three pointers in the first half and finished with 25 points to lead the Lady Hornets to a 45-28 rout of Sayre in NTL girls basketball play here Wednesday.
Brandenburg hit three threes in the first quarter and scored 12 points as Wellsboro jumped out to a 14-8 lead, then added 11 points in the second quarter with another three treys and the Hornets went up 34-16 at the break.
Paige Logsdon added 9 points for the Hornets while Teagan Novinger had 8 and Lily Wagner chipped in with 3 points.
Wellsboro improves to 3-1 on the season with the win and is scheduled to host Williamson on Friday.
