NTWSR PRESENTS THE LAUREL HEALTH 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2024-12-22)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY, PA — The NTWSR / Laurel Health TIOGA COUNTY ‘Athletes of the Week’ are North Penn-Mansfield’s Alex Davis and Cowanesque Valley’s Ashley Woodring.
Woodring finished with 20 points to lead CV to an overtime win over North Penn-Mansfield, with 7 coming in the extra period .. including the game winning three-pointer .. and 18 in the second half. The senior also scored 11 points in a loss to Austin earlier in the week.
Davis scored 19 points to lead the Tigers to their fourth straight “W”, a 64-36 win over Canton, then led NPM to a lopsided win over Wellsboro .. 63-33 .. with 16 points. The Tigers dropped their first game of the season to end the week, losing to Troy, where Davis scored 6 points.
