NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NORTH PENN-LIBERTY CAN'T KEEP UP WITH ATHENS (2025-01-04)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportATHENS — The North Penn-Liberty girls basketball team fell behind by double digits by the half and couldn’t keep up with the host Lady Wildcats, falling 51-32 to Athens in a crossover match-up on Saturday.
Athens took leads of 15-9 after the first quarter, 30-19 at the break and 35-25 after three quarters of play.
Haley Litzelman scored 17 points to lead Liberty, while Ciara Keiser had 10 and Kaylee Graham added 5 points.
The Lady Mounties (2-4) are scheduled to visit Sullivan County on Monday.
