Sayre took leads of 24-12 after a quarter of play, 45-22 at the half and 66-33 after the third frame. North Penn-Liberty did get six players on the scoring list in a 16-9 fourth quarter in favor of the Mounties.

Evan McTish led a balanced scoring attack for NP-Liberty with 12 points and added 7 rebounds, while Louis Mercantino had 10 points and Luke Kreger scored 8.

Adynn Wheeland had 5 points, 3 assists and 3 steals, Conner Lewis had 4 points, Landon Mattern and and Blake Oakley had 3 points each with Oakley adding 5 boards, 6 assists and 3 blocked shots and Sudan Benner and Brody Grinnell rounded out the scoring with 2 points each.

The Mounties even their season at 6-6 with the loss and will return to action on Thursday when they host Cowanesque Valley.
