Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY, PA — As we reach the midway point of the boys and girls basketball seasons, here are the West’s leading scorers and team averages as of January 14th, 2025.
North Penn-Mansfield leads the boys’ teams in scoring, averaging 58.5 points per game, while North Penn-Liberty scores 57.4 ppg, Cowanesque Valley scores 49.1 ppg, Wellsboro averages 48.5 ppg and Williamson scores 43.3 ppg.
The Tigers lead the way defensively as well, allowing 43.1 ppg while Wellsboro allows 49.3 ppg, North Penn-Liberty gives up 56.3 ppg, Williamson allows 64.1 ppg and CV allows 65.8 ppg.
BOYS SCORING LEADERS
On the girls’ side, Cowanesque Valley averages 42.7 ppg while Wellsboro scores 41.7 and is followed by Williamson at 40.8 ppg, North Penn-Mansfield at 40.5 ppg and North Penn-Liberty at 40.4 ppg.
Williamson allows 38.6 ppg followed by CV at 39.8 ppg, North Penn-Liberty at 41.4 ppg, Wellsboro at 41.9 ppg and North Penn-Mansfield allows 44.1 ppg.
