NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: TROJANS TOO MUCH FOR NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD (2025-01-16)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportMANSFIELD — North Penn-Mansfield fell behind by 18 points to Troy at the half and lost 63-47 to the Trojans in an NTL-I boys basketball match-up here Thursday.
Troy scored 19 points in each of the first two quarters to the Tigers’ 13 and 7 to take a 38-20 lead into the locker rooms. A 17-14 Troy third quarter led to a 13-8 fourth for Mansfield to provide the final.
Cooper Shaw led the Tigers with 15 points while Brady Stetter had 9 points, Jason Harer had 8, Alex Davis scored 6 points, Andy Hermansen had 4, Kevin Clemente-Vasquez had 3 and Tate Strange had 2 points.
The loss, just the third of the season for Mansfield and their second to Troy, drops the Tigers to 11-3 overall. They’re scheduled to return to action next Wednesday at home against Northeast Bradford (9-4).
