Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Cowanesque Valley grad Seth Neal and North Penn-Liberty alum Shelby Alexander each competed for Mansfield University in the Mounties' first home event in four years, held at Lamb’s Creek Cross Country Course Thursday against Bloomsburg.
Neal, a first year, came in second place overall for the men, finishing the 5K in 17:40. Teammate and fellow first year David Wooten finished first in 16:48.
For the women, Alexander was the seventh Mountie to cross the finish line, clocking a 22:18 in her inaugural race of her junior season.
Team results were not immediately available.
The Mounties will next compete at the Lock Haven Invitational on September 25.
