NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON USES BIG 1ST QUARTER TO TOP COWANESQUE VALLEY (2025-02-07)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — Williamson jumped out to a 20-6 first quarter lead then held Cowanesque Valley off to earn an 80-66 NTL Small School win here Friday.
The Warriors and Indians played even through the rest of the game, with Williamson taking the second quarter 21-16 and CV taking the third 18-14 and the final frame 26-25.
Williamson put four players in double figures as Jack Nolan led the way with 24 points and Braxton Watson had 15, Kayden Moon had 11 and Izaiah Croft scored 10 points. Gabe Crance had 8 points, Maddox Hartman scored 6 and Alex Watson rounded out the Warriors’ scoring with 5 points.
For CV, Ashtyn Burdick had 19 points, Levi Stahli had 18 and Carsyn Kemp scored 10 while Parker Lee and Jacob Johnson had 8 points each and Gavin Churchill had 3.
Williamson (4-17) will finish their season on Monday with a trip to Towanda while the Indians (3-18) play their final game on Monday at home against small school champ North Penn-Liberty.
