WOMENS COLLEGE BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON'S TR JONES LEADING CORNING TO SUCCESSFUL SEASON (2025-02-10)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportCORNING, NY — The Corning Community College Red Barons women’s basketball team has run their season record to 10-8 and are 8-3 in their conference, led by freshman TaylorRae Jones from Williamson.
Jones has started every game for the Red Barons and averages 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per outing and has added 36 steals, 20 assists and 15 blocked shots.
The former Northern Tier West Sports Report All-Tioga County Player of the Year has reached double figures in 15 of the Red Barons’ games and has 20+ points five times, including a career high of 29 points in a 69-37 win over Cayuga CC.
Fellow Williamson alum Riley Sargent is a teammate of Jones and has played in 10 games for Corning, scoring 4 points and grabbing 5 rebounds.
