The Graham sisters led the shorthanded Lady Mounties to a 41-11 win over Sayre in NPL’s regular season finale with senior Kaylee scoring 17 points and adding 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals and sophomore Kendall scoring 14 points while grabbing 3 rebounds with 2 steals. 

Pequignot won the 114 pound North Section title, the sophomore’s second, by beating well-known foe Andrew Kapec from Sullivan County.

The two sophomores faced each other four times as freshmen last season, with Pequignot beating Kapec for the Sectional title at 107 pounds and at districts in the consolation semifinals. Kapec won their last meeting, however, eliminating Pequignot from the State Championships. 

Pequignot’s win over Kapec for the ’24-’25 sectional championship came via a 10-0 major decision, following his 10-8 semifinal win over Wyalusing's Isaiah Harvey (27-8).
