HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: WELLSBORO'S RYDER BOWEN GOES 1-1, DROPS INTO REGIONAL CONSOLATION BRACKET (2025-02-28)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro senior 189-pounder Ryder Bowen went 1-1 at the Northeast Regional Friday night and will look to wrestle back through the consolation bracket on Day 2.
Bowen beat Central Columbia senior Josh Worthington 17-10 in his pigtail match to advance to the quarterfinals. There, Bowen was pinned by Honesdale sophomore Duke Martin, the District 2 champ and No. 2 seed at regionals.
Bowen will next face Mifflinburg sophomore Landon Moser in the first round of consolations. He pinned Moser last week at Districts.
Wrestling continues at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
