HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: WELLSBORO'S BOWEN FINISHES CAREER WITH 6TH PLACE FINISH AT REGIONALS (2025-03-01)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro 189-pound sectional champ Ryder Bowen saw his season come to a close here Saturday as the senior finished in 6th place at the Northeast Regional, where the top-4 advance to States.
Bowen opened Regionals with a win Friday night before falling into the consolation bracket with a loss to eventual runner-up Duke Martin from Honesdale.
With a pair of lopsided wins Saturday .. 17-4 and 18-3 .. Bowen advanced to the consolation semifinal, where he fell to Lackawanna Trail’s Demetrius Douglas. In the 5th/6th place match, Bowen was edged 5-4 by Montoursville’s Owen Kleinman.
Bowen finishes his senior season with a record of 32-8 and has collected 81 wins in his career for the Hornets.
