HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS WRESTLING: WELLSBORO'S JORDAN RUMSEY COMPETES AT REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (2025-03-01)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportMILTON, PA — Wellsboro junior Jordan Rumsey competed at the Central Girls Regional Wrestling Championships on Saturday, going 1-2 to end her 2024-’25 season.
Rumsey, wrestling in the 112 pound weight class, qualified for Regionals with her 5th place finish at Districts two weeks ago.
Saturday, Rumsey was pinned in her first match by Bald Eagle Area freshman Addison Tice, then rebounded with a fall in 4:42 over Milton freshman Louise Cromley in the first round of consolation bracket bouts.
Rumsey would be eliminated from the championships in the consolation bracket’s second round, falling in :47 to Greater Nanticoke freshman Emily Kivler, the District 2 champ.
Rumsey finishes her junior season with a record of 13-12.
