Ty Morral and
Ben Barnett, competed for the Millersville University golf team in the Marauders’ season-opening tournament .. Cal U’s Vulcan Invitational.
Morral, a sophomore who did not see tournament action for the Marauders last season, made his collegiate debut and shot rounds of 76, 73 and 75 (224), good for second low score for Millersville, plus two shots above teammate Christopher Knox’ 222 three-round total.
Barnett, a junior who is also seeing his first tournament competition for Millersville, shot rounds of 81, 79 and 84 (244), good for fifth on his team and helping Millersville to an 11th-place finish among 17 competing teams.
The pair of former Hornets will return to action September 18 when Millersville visits Erie to play in the Evan Parker Memorial Invitational, hosted by Mercyhurst University.
