HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: CV TOPS COUDERSPORT FOR WIN IN OPENER (2025-03-18)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWESTFIELD — Loagan Stickler threw a no-hitter through four and a third innings to lift Cowanesque Valley to a 6-1 win over Coudersport in the Indians’ season opener here Tuesday.
Stickler walked two and struck out 12 Coudy batters and also had a double and scored a run in the win.
Dave Hess had CV’s remaining three base hits and scored three runs while driving in one. Lucas Hamilton and Gavin Churchill each scored a run for the Indians.
Hess finished the game on the mound, going one and two-third innings while giving up a run on a hit and a walk with one K.
The Indians (1-0) are scheduled to next visit Canton on Saturday.
