NTL SOFTBALL: WILLIAMSON SHUTS OUT NORTHEAST BRADFORD FOR SEASON-OPENING WIN (2025-03-19)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportLAWRENCEVILLE — Kenna Thomas threw a shutout and Savanna Dean homered as Williamson opened their 2025 softball season here Wednesday and blanked Northeast Bradford, 4-0.
Thomas threw all seven innings and allowed four hits and a walk with 12 strikeouts, while collecting a pair of base hits and an RBI at the plate.
The Lady Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Olivia Gee walked, stole second and scored on a single by Lexi Smalley. Joelie Stephens then brought Smalley home on a sacrifice ground out.
Dean led off the bottom of the 5th inning with a home run to centerfield and Gee again walked and would score on a Thomas double to provide the 4-0 lead that would hold up for the Williamson win.
Dean had two hits, an RBI and scored once while Smalley had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, Stephens had a hit and an RBI, Kaegen Short had a base hit and Gee scored twice.
Williamson (1-0) is next scheduled to host Northern Potter on Saturday.
